Sierra Nevada Anniversary Ale

Picked up a 24-pack at Costco yesterday. This one's very good. I've probably had about 5-6 of these things so far. Anniversary Ale is well-balanced IPA...not too hoppy, very consistent and drinkable. Grade=A, PQ=46.2...this is one of the best I've had so far.

In other beer news, was in Whole Foods today. They have one of the better beer selections I've seen on the island. Discovered Maui Brewing Co's selection today. Good ratings on Beer Advocate and are surprisingly hard to find on Oahu. Too bad Whole Foods is so damn far away. Now I need to plan a trip to Maui in order to visit the brewery.

Given your penchant for graphing, I think it is a bit surprising that you have yet to graph the PQ's for all the beers you have reviewed. You should keep a running log...

And occassionally, you should re-review an old beer to make sure your calibration has not changed.

that would take some work...more work than downloading the occasional Garmin graph.

with the holidays approaching, i'm looking forward to tasting all the special holiday beers, like the Budweiser Brewmaster Reserve.

You should start graphing now and make sure you keep data from this point on...

bar graph? line graph? pie chart? scatter plot?

what is x-axis? y-axis?

You have a point. Bar graph is probably the only option.

If you want, you can farm the graphs out to me...

Just start keeping all the Phoenix Quotient data in an excel file for me--cost, volume, rating, grading scale (A=4?).

i'll work on it...i need to come up with a way of hyperlinking the spreadsheet/graph, so that i don't have to repost every time i save a new one.

i labeled all the beer posts for quicker reference. shouldn't be hard to go back and gather data.

bought 4 new beers at Whole Foods today. all look good, but will have very low PQs...expensive.
