Ran the first race in VA. A 10-miler out in the country. Finished in 1:18:07. I was happy about the time, since it was 9 minutes faster than my last 10-miler (Cherry Blossom 10-miler in 2006), until I got the final results...12 out of 21 in my age group. Sonya finished 1:20 and some change...good enough for 4 out of 24 in her age group. The course was great...all out in the country, lots of hills, and it was unseasonably cool in the morning. Tons of food at the end, and best of all a free pint glass...too bad they didn't fill it up.
